Natsukashii — a Japanese expression that carries nostalgia for cherished past memories and evokes gratitude for having experienced them. It may be the static from playing your favorite vinyl, taking a satisfying first sip of an ice-cold Guinness, or stumbling upon a piece of dried ginkgo leaf wedged inside a book. The fondness of these past experiences are accidentally pulled to the present, and with it, a gentle smile. To me, these small encounters during any ordinary days are major natsukashii moments. Creating and documenting them through my lens are my way of showing appreciation while traveling across the world.
